Compounder-Cosmetic and Industrial Job Title: Compounder – Cosmetic and Industrial Reports to: Director of Operations and Compounding Supervisor Type of position: Full time Job Location: M3J3J9 General Position Description: This position is responsible for working with batch records and mixing and blending raw materials for the production of a variety of products within the product line. Key Responsibilities: • Tend mixer tanks, compounding kettles, various mixers that mix and compound raw materials used in the manufacture of various products • Weigh out specific types and quantities of ingredients via dispensing systems, manual scales according to formula • Transfer raw material from storage/staging area to compounding area • Transfer bulk material from compounding area to storage areas • Transfer completed batches via pump or gravity feed into proper storage containers for movement to storage or other production areas • Extracts bulk samples for laboratory analysis • Handles, samples and dispenses hazardous raw material as necessary • Perform daily, cleaning / sanitization of kettles, mixers, pumps, utensils and compounding rooms • May perform weighing mixing sanitizing agents General Requirements: • Perform all duties in compliance with SOP’s work instructions, master production documents, GMP’s and all other regulatory policies and guidelines • Ensure all decisions are based on quality assurance incorporating GMP and quality controls • Prepare and maintain batch documentations records, as required by SOP’s related to operations Knowledge, skills and work experience requirements: Practical experience in area(s) of responsibility Possess knowledge of the practices and principles of GMP Key Competencies: Language skills: Solid English reading and comprehension skills required to understand detailed SOP’s manufacturing Documentation instructions and formulas Math skills: Basic math skills, experience with metric system Reasoning ability: ability to comprehend GMP and SOP’s and identify compliance or non-compliance Physical demands: some lifting required, ability to maintain high level of physical activity Educational requirements: High school or college
